Élie Buzyn’s Testimony: Resistance and Humanity
Abstract
In recent years, there has been a boom in the publication of literary testimonies by Holocaust survivors, which in turn requires studies dedicated to analysing and understanding their experiences. This article aims to analyse the testimony offered by Élie Buzyn. Will be discussed he importance of the family nucleus, which transmits indispensable values, and its transformation during the stay in the ghetto. Will be addressed the memory of fraternity and resistance built in the concentration camp. Finally, will be explored the difficult road of reconstruction after liberation.
