Abstract

This work analyzes the Journal littéraire of Paul Léautaud and its reception in Spain. Of great importance in the French context, the diary of Léautaud is read by some of the most important Spanish diarists, such as Josep Pla or Andrés Trapiello, and its recent publication (Léautaud, 2016) confirms the establishment of the personal diary in Spanish literature. The article is divided into two parts: the first one analyzes the Journal littéraire and the main characteristics that define its literary status; the second carries out a historical review by the different texts that demonstrate the progressive reception of the Journal in the Spanish sphere.
