Abstract

The article approaches the post-exotic universe of Antoine Volodine by critically examining two of his latest romånces: Songes de Mevlido and Terminus radieux. These novels represent a dystopic space which shows the collapse of a communist political system. It is a traumatic epic of the defeated, which results in the regress towards a post-apocalyptic time marked by existential melancholy. However, the whisper of post-human writers still remains as a site of resistance against the prison that is the alienation of the real.
