Keywords: Covid-19 pandemic, care workers, fear, nursing homes, home helpers

Abstract

This article analyses the experiences of care workers during the pandemic. More specifically, it examines the experience of those working in care homes for older and dependent people in France and Brazil, and those working as home helpers in Brazil. Through a qualitative methodology using semi-structured interviews. The research led us to focus our observations on the fear. In this way, the routines of the workers in both countries are analysed, taking into account the public policies implemented during the pandemic in the different contexts, highlighting their similarities and differences. This is ongoing research that highlights the contributions of international comparison.
