For a different policy of doctoral theatricality
Abstract
Departing from a particular doctoral passage experienced over a decade ago, this text presents some of the key-ideas that could be useful for those people immersed in a doctoral project. With the purpose of rescuing some elements of that particular doctoral passage that were excluded i the final dissertation, both by the author and the academic reasoning in itself, including the effects on mental health or the implicit theatricality observed in any doctoral dynamics, this article raises some critical questions about the possibility of a different doctoral practice that, among other things, could help readers to free themselves from the transcendental burden that often afflicts people when embarking on a doctoral project.
