Beyond the automation. Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Working Conditions and Qualifications
Abstract
The current digitalization of companies in the industrial sector generates a new digital environment that has diverse effects on working conditions, representing a new model of consumption and organization of the human factor in factories and workshops. This article presents some of the results obtained in five-year research to measure and evaluate the occupational impact of Industry 4.0. Specifically, the results are presented regarding the existence of a series of factors that, because of the digitalization of companies, have the capacity to alter working conditions in different jobs and occupations.
