Abstract

On the occasion of the hundredth edition of the Sociology of Work, the most outstanding contributions and influences in the study of women and work, of their experiences as workers inside and outside the home, are reviewed. A chosen and discontinuous journey that reconstructs a range of problems and challenges around care, the reconciliation of personal and family life, the impacts of productive transformations, gender and its intersection with class, ethnicity and age in the labour sphere, the scope of equality policies, etc. in light of the theoretical renewal of feminism, from its efforts to redefine essential concepts such as work that allowed renewing and creating new ways of approaching and interpreting the complex reality of women's work.
