Culture and organizational structure of an NGO from the indigenous ideology of Federación Plurinacional de Turismo Comunitario del Ecuador (FEPTCE)
Abstract
This article is a sample of the organizational culture of one of the most important non-governmental organizations in Ecuador with regard to community tourism developed by indigenous communities in that country. Being the indigenous fundamental part of the Ecuadorian culture, the article demonstrates using principal definitions related of work sociology the role that the worldview of the Plurinational Federation of Community Tourism of Ecuador plays in each of its objectives and work goals as an organization, giving relevant importance to the use of ancestral symbolism respecting the beliefs of the indigenous communities involved, which generates a sense of belonging in each of them.
