Penal labor ¿Does it reproduce the gender inequalities?
Abstract
The relationship between work and prison has been constant in history, justified as a punitive, disciplinary, economic livelihood, but also operating, of prisoners. In addition, an instrument of socialization and normalization of daily life in prison. The aim of this article is to analyze, from the gender perspective, the way in which the social organization of work in prison reproduces inequalities between men and women in a similar manner to as outside it. The temporal co ntext is referring to 2010. The data sources used are EPA, prisons and the OATFP. Data inside the pri-sons derive from the I D I project called «SINDISCRIP».Downloads
