Artisans and mechanics Processes of precarization, diversification and transformation of the madrilenian labour market (1880-1930)
Abstract
The present work aims to analyse the processes of transformation of the Madrid la-bour market during the Restoration. It is a stage of transition between a late guild economies and a service economy. In this sense, it is interesting to analyse the role of large and medium-sized companies that appeared as transforming agents of the labour market, as well as the strategies adopted by workers to adapt to a constantly changing context. To do this, the article is based on the analysis of production wor-kers and large companies in the railway sector.Downloads
