Abstract

Within the framework of a case study on the effects of the crisis on life and work of young people, this article offers some evidence and critical reflections on the situation of growing vulnerability shown by young women: to the well-known gender inequalities, new difficulties are added that reduce their opportunities of labor insertion, particularly in rural contexts. From the prism of gender inequalities, the dynamics of insertion and professional stabilization of young women in Castilla-La Mancha region are deepened. The imbalances between training and work, the impact of old and new educational inequalities that act as barriers to access to employment, together with the high levels of unemployment, flexibility and precariousness, are some of the problems analyzed.
