La ciudad como espectaculo: lectura de Pasajes, poemas de Fernando Perez-Villalon
Abstract
The representation of the modern city introduced by Pasajes simultaneously continues and problematizes the latin-american poetic tradition concerning large urban centers. The present essay focuses on two aspects of this representation: the polarity between “inside” and “outside” regarded as a sign of the conflict established between the urban dweller and the city, and the operation of vision and audition regarded as bridges which communicates those places. Therefore, the present essay attempts to describe the meaning of the contemporary city understood as “spectacle”, and to outline some traits of the “passage” or “passages” which give name to the book, in order to distinguish, so to speak, the existential condition of the urban dweller who appears on poems.Downloads
