Abstract

The promotion of women writers in catalan language of the 20s and 30s represents qualitatively and quantitatively a major achievement in the integration of women in the literary life. Primarily narrators, but also poets, playwrights and columnists, whose work gives documentary evidence of women’s access to a better social and cultural status through text genre characteristics and literary models. Having studied previous collaborations various aspects of the production profile of Carme Monturiol (1893-1966), Aurora Bertrana (1899-1974), Anna Murià (1904-2002), M. Teresa Vernet (1907-1974), Mercè Rodoreda (1908-1983), Rosa M. Arquimbau (1910-1992), Elvira A. Lewi (1910-sd)..., this time addressing hints and literary ironic devices which according to the patterns of the interwar narrative, focuses on topics, characters and language that shaped their generations.
