The retoric of the ironia in the catalan female narrative of the period of entreguerres
Abstract
The promotion of women writers in catalan language of the 20s and 30s represents qualitatively and quantitatively a major achievement in the integration of women in the literary life. Primarily narrators, but also poets, playwrights and columnists, whose work gives documentary evidence of women’s access to a better social and cultural status through text genre characteristics and literary models. Having studied previous collaborations various aspects of the production profile of Carme Monturiol (1893-1966), Aurora Bertrana (1899-1974), Anna Murià (1904-2002), M. Teresa Vernet (1907-1974), Mercè Rodoreda (1908-1983), Rosa M. Arquimbau (1910-1992), Elvira A. Lewi (1910-sd)..., this time addressing hints and literary ironic devices which according to the patterns of the interwar narrative, focuses on topics, characters and language that shaped their generations.Downloads
