Abstract

This article examines the legal framework for managing business activities of housing cooperatives, and the CDC applied to them. Some general questions regarding the legal classification of the CDC are previously treated. The regulation of management companies is poor, encouraging self-regulation, as indeed has happened. Thus, management firms associated to GECOPI have developed their standards of good business, issued in January 2005 and in close connection with the "Code of Ethics of the Association of Cooperative management companies and real estate projects. The first text is especially presented and studied, which contains the CDC of companies of housing management cooperatives, whose importance and practical application has already been proven in this sector.
