Escatología y retórica en los diálogos platónicos
Abstract
One of the central ideas of the present article is that the unity of myth and logos must be referred to the dramatic unity of a platonic dialogue. This is not an impediment to distinguish between two different types of discourse: rational and mythic. The eschatology cannot be rationally tackled because of the uncertainty which makes impossible in this case a knowledge of the future reserved to souls. This determines a rhetorical situation which makes necessary the kind of persuasion that can be attained through the eschatological myth.Downloads
