Reivindicación estética del arte popular
Abstract
The distinction between high art and low art, as a particular case of the distinction between high culture and low culture, is a part of the principles of aesthetic theory. In this paper, we try to see the reason of it, and to analyze the aesthetic background of the criticisms to low art, in order to be able to defend it within art theory, intending to place it in parity with high art, that is, as a product that can satisfy the criterion of aesthetic tradition and, moreover, enrich the traditional concept of the aesthetic and aim at the same value than consecrated art.Downloads
