Posthumous review of the writing of Professor Dr. Hegel, on The Difference Between Fichte’s and Schelling’s System of Philosophy
Abstract
This text presents the main arguments in Hegel’s The Difference between the Systems of Philosophy of Fichte and Schelling, directed against Fichte’s first principle in the Foundations of the Science of Knowledge. Without considering Fichte’s later works, the result ultimately favors him. It is shown that Hegel’s criticism is unfounded, and the text points out what was truly lacking in Fichte’s philosophy up to that moment.
