Distilling the style: towards a quasi-transcendental writing of materiality
Abstract
Moving towards a thought of materiality that is not intended to define a mode of being of
matter is not an easy task. However, in the context of a stereographic reading of Jacques Derrida and Werner Hamacher’s work, this essay aims to experience materiality as the coming of an impossible, undecidable, and anarchic element which, by objecting the question regarding the essential, inscribes itself in the speculative system to disrupt and unleash it in and from it, a «bastard reasoning». From this reasoning it seeks through the envelopes to cross the envelopes with which metaphysics had separated the empirical from the transcendental in the intelligible itself.
