Between Nietzsche and Spinoza: Affective Aesthetic from Will to Power
Abstract
This article proposes an aesthetical interpretation of the relationship between philosophicals systems of Spinoza and Nietzsche from a common ontological basis. Although it is difficult to defend a reading of Spinoza by Nietzsche, if we go to the mediation from Indian thought between the pillars of their respective systems, we can establish a relationship between the will to power and the spinozist conatus. The propose of this research is twofold: on the one hand, to propose an aesthetical interpretation to the Spinoza’s philosophy from his system of affections; and, from there, mark to the affective foundation of this aesthetics from the Nietzschean will to power.
