The advaitic thought of Raimon Panikkar
Abstract
On the occasion of the centenary of his birth, we will venture into the complex life and thought of the Catalan philosopher Raimon Panikkar, one of the leading figures in the field of interreligious dialogue. We will analyze his sometimes ambiguous relationship with the various traditions he adopted by examining his Christology and comparing his Buddhist-inspired ontology with that of Theravāda Buddhism. To conclude, we would like to suggest the possibility of a homeomorphic approach to the act of creating philosophy.
