Advantages and tensions of Empiricist Structuralism’s perspective
Abstract
In this paper we critically analyze how the relation of representation between theories and phenomena is characterized in van Fraassen’s Empiricist Structuralism. Our aim is to offer arguments that emphasize the role of the object in building data models. We also propose to show that the methodological option suggested in his recent work is insufficient to recover a plausible link between data models and phenomena.Downloads
