Abstract

This study is to update the correct attitude a health professional, in a public institution, should have in order to collaborate with the judicial system in relation to the determination of certain toxic substances related to the use of motor vehicles. We propose a simple and clear flow diagram to provide to professionals of emergency services, intensive care units, clinical pharmacologists and other services which would be involved in these proceedings, as a guideline in accordance with current legislation, which guarantees citizens' rights, legal coverage for the professional and a useful, effective chain of custody from a legal point of view.
