Abstract

The article describes the work carried out by the Legal Medicine Central Laboratory at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th, dealing with the study of explosive devices of the time.

The events which occurred May 31, 1906 in Mayor Street in Madrid are then meticulously described, which were a consequence to the assault on the Royal procession. Judicial acts, the diligence of the autopsy and the medical expertise investigations are all discussed in detail, to complete a document of great medical-legal historical importance.
