La biodiversidad en el contexto de la cooperación internacional
Abstract
The autor recalls the precautionary principle as an inspiration to the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Cartagena Protocol. Such documents seek to protect genetic diversity, species and habitats through an ecosystem approach, that should also help reach a balance between the enviorenment and the human activity. Therefore the author calls for an international co-operation system, that facilitates a two-ways flow of resources and ideas, a system that puts aside paternalism and homogeneity of ecosistems, societies and cultures. An integration of the environmental, social and economic perspectives, together with this North / South dialogue, might enlighten all us about susainable ways of natural resources management.
