Abstract
This article seeks to insert the Millenium Development Goals in the historical sequence of developmental studies, revising the evolution of the different visions of development and how the fight against poverty has become a central issue in development policies, with the implications of adopting an approach centered in relieving the consequences more than approaching the roots of underdevelopment. The article also presents a general panorama of the fulfillment of these goals, to end with some considerations about the adoption of this new... development agenda?
