Caracterización socioeconómica de las comunidades pesqueras artesanales de las provincias de Chefchaouen, Al-hoceima y Nador
Abstract
IPADE, an NGO for development, has carried out a study in the North of Morocco seaside provinces, including Chefchauen, Alhucemas and Nador, with the aim of analyze the socioeconomic framework of traditional fishing communities in the Rif region, where the high illiteracy rate among men and women and the historic marginality of the area by the public administration have a negative impact in a population dependent on sea products, as fishing is the main economic activity to provide revenues to families. Diagnosis and identification of new ways for commercializing sea products are the main axis developed in this article.
