La cooperación internacional contra el cambio climático. El papel de México en el marco de la COP 16 de Cancún
Abstract
Efforts to strengthen international cooperation for development have been made during the previous years and countries are aware of the need to maximize the use of the always insufficient resources allocated to these activities. Global warming imposes new challenges and requires an improved and highly efficient framework of cooperation aimed at achieving the stabilization goals agreed by the international community. The Cancun Agreements adopted at the COP-16 open the door to a new era of international cooperation against climate change. In the case of Mexico, the implementation of the Agreements together with the entry into force of the Law on International Cooperation for Development complement worldwide efforts and provides Mexico with a valuable opportunity to promote its sustainable development.
