Development Policy Coherence and global food security: ODCE development strategies and new approaches
Abstract
The world produces enough food to feed everyone. Still, more than one person in six goes hungry. This is one of the greatest incoherencies of our times. The main obstacle is poverty which constrains people’s access to food. The OECD Strategy on Development is exploring how broader approaches to policy coherence for development can better inform policymaking in addressing global food security. This article illustrates first steps in this work and explores policy priorities in developed, emerging and developing countries.
