Migración, remesas y ayuda en la ecuación del desarrollo. Algunos indicios y nuevos interrogantes
Abstract
How affect migration in developing of the migration generating countries, remains a question without unanimous response. The ambivalence about the effect of migration on development is discussed in multiple forums. In this paper, we analyze more precisely one of the dimensions that regularly accompany migration, such as remittances by migrants, and the effect that Official Development Aid could have on the alleged reduction of remittances. With this purpose, and given the lack of empirical evidence, we use for our analysis the data collected in the Human Development Report of 2009, that is the first time addressed the interrelationship between migration and development.
