Multilateral System of United Nations and indigenous people rights
Abstract
Indigenous peoples, through their own institutions, organizations and representatives, have been outstanding and active participants within the United Nations multilateral system for the last decades. The article summarizes the history, objectives, achievements and obstacles of the Indigenous participation within the UN for the defence of their fundamental human rights.
