Quality employment as a driver of development
Abstract
This article is a reflection on the link between decent work and socioeconomic development. After a brief analysis of the current situation of the labour market in Latin America and the Caribbean, characterized by low unemployment, low labour productivity and informality, the author proposes some essential elements of a development strategy focused on promoting quality jobs for the region.
