Political economy and International Relations: negotiating the European Union budget as a role-playing game

Abstract

This article shows a simulation game on the bargaining process of the EU budget. Its main objectives are to work on the political process and the inter-institutional relations in the EU, the elaboration of the multiannual financial framework and the budget, as well as the cooperation aid policy. At the same time this game is useful for develop practical competencies like negotiation or leadership.
