On military, commercial, diplomatic wars and the global development agenda of first semester, 2018
Abstract
From October 2017 to April 2018, the global development agenda was victim of a wide range of military, commercial and diplomatic wars. Due to this, during this short, but significant world history period, international cooperation exercises related to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda generated tenuous results in favor of a more secure and equitable planet. This article summarizes and analyzes the most important events whether for or against the global development agenda, during this period. The article argues that, due to the particularly adverse mentioned international context, during this semester the promotion of development suffered aggressive attacks, in particular from President Donald Trump, who constitutes the antithesis of international cooperation for development.
