The Alliance for Solidarity experience in the European Humanitarian Volunteer Program: An opportunity to build global citizenship
Abstract
Article 4 of Regulation 375/2014, which establishes the EU Aid Volunteers (EUAV) program, links the added value of volunteering in humanitarian aid and solidarity with the most vulnerable people and communities in the world. This article discusses the possibilities that this program has opened for the Alliance for Solidarity, as well as having strengthened its work with social volunteer organizations, local and international humanitarian aid communities, in Europe and in the world.
