Da “Eros e civiltà” a “Eros in agonia”. Teoria critica del Selfie

Abstract

The article begins with Eros and Civilization by Herbert Marcuse and provides a reflection that underlie the route, focusing, in particular, dialectic of repression, questioning the extent to which it determines and disfigures relationships between domain of desire and freedom. The article analyzes mechanisms of neutralization of revolutionary demands arising from instinctual drives through "integration" and "containment" of traditionally critical elements and opposition to capitalist world. Capitalistic man is, in fact, is integrated in this a type of society, characterized by what Marcuse called <> that eliminates critical thinking and always prevailing over conformism, indifference, acceptance of "false needs". In the end is examined the criticism to philosophical and sociological reflections of Marcuse on desire, especially that referred to neoliberal dogma of Foucault and recent interesting analysis of Byung-Chul Han, , while recognizing control of passions, impulses and principle of performance as tmain tools through which tames power manipulates force of Eros liberation, it concludes that revolution as erotic desire is no longer possible.
