Loriguillo-López, Antonio. Anime Complejo. La ambigüedad narrativa en la animación japonesa. Valencia: Aldea Global, Universitat de València, 2021, 190 pp. ISBN, 9788491349037
Abstract
Antonio Loriguillo-López's book is the latest and fitting addition to a growing list of academic publications in Spanish language focused on Anime Studies. His take on the subject departs from what, for many years already, has been the primary approach in many academic publications. Rather than focusing his analysis on an 'auteur' film or consumer dynamics, Loriguillo addresses anime as a media form by analysing anime’s complex storytelling.
