Abstract
The political history of Japan in the twentieth century witnessed the birth, on a large scale, of left movements and in particular the actions of the revolutionary left in the Postwar period. This marked, without a doubt, the transition of organized resistance against the foreign policy actions of the Japanese government. At the same time, the dismantling of these popular actions was observed within the process of converting Japan into an economic power. Ferran de Vargas carries out a precise analysis of that historical period that is necessary to remember in order to understand the somewhat hidden foundations on which contemporary Japan was built
