Los adultos y la apropiación de tecnología. Un primer acercamiento
Abstract
The work herein is about some experiences of the use and appropriation of technology for adults over 48 years old in Mexico City. The first topic refers to the definition of the use and appropriation of technology, which implies a specific process of acquiring the knowledge to handle the different technological tools and the second element is the exploration search of such a process through the subjects’ experiencing the use of the Internet and the use of cell phones. The different forms of technology consumption are documented and the starting point is that age does not determine the way of using technology. But the skills linked to the use are part of the context, tasks, needs and the goals of each person, as well as the access limitations and means available which often determine acceptance and learning.Downloads
