La interdependencia estructural entre el Estado y la prensa en Baja California (1989-1995)
Abstract
This text is an investigation about the relationship between Power, State and the mass media from the perspective of Critical Theory. Critical Theory helps understand the complex tissue which links the power relations with most of human activities. The article also deals with the role of the State as a regulating element of the different institutional forces that operate in it as structures of power. Finally, it also studies the role of the mass media in our complex modern societies. As a case study, the government change in Baja California, Mexico, between 1989 and 1995 is analyzed. The phenomenon of structural interdependence between the Ernesto Ruffo Appel government and the press from Baja California is investigated.Downloads
