Fortieth anniversary of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid
Abstract
First of all, I would like to thank the people who wanted me to be here today. There is no other explanation for this than an excess of generosity or affection, for many of those who are sitting in this room have more than enough merit to occupy this place before me. Recovered from the surprise that it meant for me that some had the desire or curiosity to hear what I could say, without a proposal of a specific topic, and in an act of celebration of an anniversary like this, a moment of joy for all of us who are here, professors, students and professionals of all the degrees that this Faculty brings together, It seemed appropriate to me to talk about issues that would unite us as teachers and professionals, rather than with other types of approaches. What unites us as professionals, students and teachers are these university classrooms and common vocations. I will deal with issues that affect us in what we live and in what we teach, because I believe that they should not be dissociated from each other.
