Freedom of Expression, Democracy and Property
Abstract
Freedom of expression, of freely communicating opinions and ideas, is a fundamental human right and one of the pillars on which democracy is based. Without freedom of expression there is no freedom of the press (written, radio, audiovisual and digital) and for this reason it is inextricably linked to freedom of information, academic freedom and democracy.
