Abstract

This article deals with one important issue related to youth employment. Firstly, it analysis the different social measures adopted mainly in 2013 in order to foster youth entrepreneurship (actually, self-employment): rebates in Social Security contributions, compatibility between unemployment benefits and activity as self-employed. This review gives cause for thinking critically over the consequences that this policy has in terms of precariousness and insecurity for young workers who face a lack of labor –individual and collective– rights and guarantees.
