Outdoor Work and Climate Change: Deficiencies in Preventive Measures and Employment Contracting Protections
Abstract
The greater exposure of outdoor workers to the physical risks of climate change, combined with their increased social vulnerability, calls for a review of the protections granted to them under current regulations, particularly in terms of employment contracts and occupational risk prevention. Any proposed improvements in this area must take into account the specific characteristics of sectors such as agriculture and construction, and necessarily involve a technical-legal analysis of the applicable regulations and their most recent reforms.
