Experiencia, Narración, Personas: Elementos para una arqueología comprensible. Experience, Narration, Peoples: Elements for an understandable archaeology
Abstract
Post-procesual archaeologists have shown a great concern with phenomenology, agency and narration. The way in which these interests have been often implemented can be critized. Thus, phenomenology has been usually mixed with subjective feelings and perceptions, the study of agency has been wrongly used to emphasize individuality, and narration has been presented as a justification to write bad fiction. Rather than providing elements for deconstructing this post-procesual triad, the aim of this article is to explore the necessity to take into account the experience of the world, to conceive narration as necessarily interwoven with evidence and to show the usefulness of reinstating people as a substitute for individuals.Downloads
