Abstract
This text aims to provide a general reflection on historiographical advances made in recent decades (especially since 1960) related to the independence movements in Latin America in order to sort the academic debate that has been opened in the discipline rather than trying to conclude it. Due to space limitations, we have selected only a few issues and have chosen to quote only the most outstanding works, although trying to include America’s regional diversity in the selected sample.Downloads
