Abstract
The records that have been produced by the Spanish diplomatic and consular offices in China were scarcely kept. Conditions have hampered their archival process and access to researchers nowadays, despite their great interest. The aim of this paper is to analyze the causes that have led to this situation. To find out, we first have to understand the administrative history of the Spanish offices in China. Second, it describes the archival history, changes of ownership or custody and transfer these records have made.Downloads
