Abstract

This article analyses the making of two phenomena both mental and political: relationship between knowledge and power. The intellectuals seek to understand the History, by reaching the worker’s world. The workers need the intellectuals to reach culture in order to understand the own world. The analysis of this development offers stages of meetings and ruptures. The problem of misunderstanding lies in a mistake about the identity of the agent of political change. The crisis of democracies in Europe along 1930`s and the radicalization of political life in Spain will change this relationship. This historical context produces as result that the intellectuals sat in Parlament, while the masses are on street.
