Italia e Gibilterra durante la II Guerra Mondiale
Abstract
In the fascist “propaganda”, the Mediterranean Sea was considered the “Mare Nostrum”, in spite of the strong British military bases which closed the exits to the Suez Canal and to Gibraltar, in addition to the fortresses of Malta and Cyprus, which were very useful in controlling the marine traffic. During the Second World War and until the fall of Mussolini and the fascist regime, in July of 1943, several Italian attacks tried to annul and reduce the British power without success.Downloads
