La cuestión de la soberanía nacional
Abstract
National sovereignty principle constituted the foundation of Cadiz political system and was raised as the postulate which allowed the progress from Ancien Régime to Liberal one. The concept of sovereign nation went over the whole publicity of Independence War, was the basis of Parliament First Decree, dated September 24, 1810 and provided foundation for 1812 Constitution, being located either in Preamble as well as in article 3. Rejected by royalism defenders, supporters of Royal sovereignty, it was understood by liberal deputies in many different ways, from the moderate thesis which identified the sovereignty return to nation with the fact of the absence and captivity of the king, up to those, radical ones, which defended national sovereignty as an essential category, based on a doctrinal background from Rousseau thought.Downloads
