From Terra to Franco. Trade relations between Spain and Uruguay in the context of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)
Abstract
The present work aims to make an approach to the relations and socioeconomics and comercial dynamics developed between Uruguay and Spain during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). This article focuses on the study of the comercial aspecto of diplomatic relations, analyzing business, propaganda and diplomatic relations in a convulsed context. To that, we have used a set of sources collected from the Archivo Histórico del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores of Uruguay, of archive collections of the Fundación Juan Negrín, the Archivo General del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores of Spain, as well secondary sources that support what is statetd here.
